For this trek, spring (March-May) and autumn (September- December) are the best time. However, this trek is doable all year around.

Day 1
Day 01: Pokhara to Tolka

Travel Duration: 30 minutes bus ride from Pokhara to Phedi

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

Max Elevation: 1,790 m, Tolka

Early in the morning, we’ll drive to Phedi and start our trek towards Dhampus. We’ll walk uphill via local villages and cultivated fields. This beautiful village is a home of Gurung, Brahmin, and Magar communities.

Following the rocky path, we continue to the forest before reaching Pothana. After leaving Pothana, we’ll descend to Modi river valley and reach the Bachok village.

Continuing the trek along the northern side of a rocky ridge we’ll reach Tolka for an overnight stay.

Day 2
Day 02: Trek from Tolka to Chhomrong

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Max Elevation: 2,040 m, Chhomrong

On this day, we’ll leave Tolka and continue the trek to Ghandruk village. It is a typical Gurung village with amazing hospitality. From here the trail descends along terraced slopes and forests down to the river.

Soon after crossing the new bridges, we ascend to join the trail from Ghandruk. Now you’ll enjoy a short and pleasant walk to Chomrong. Enroute we’ll enjoy outstanding Himalayan views including Annapurna and Machhapuchhre range.

You’ll spend a night at a teahouse in Chhomrong.

Day 3
Day 03: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan

Trek Duration: 6 hours

Max Elevation: 2,540 m, Dovan

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we’ll trek towards Dovan via Sinwa. Sinwa is the main entrance of Annapurna Base Camp. From Sinwa the trail proceeds via rhododendron forests to Kuldi.

After descending long steep, slippery stone stairs we’ll reach Dovan for an overnight stay.

Day 4
Day 04: Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC)

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

Max Elevation: 3,700 m, MBC

On this day, we’ll head towards MBC following the narrow trail along the Modi Khola valley. Technically, there is no base camp as the trekkers are not allowed to climb the mountains.

However, once you reach the base camp, you’ll get fantastic panoramic views of mountain peaks. It includes the Annapurna ranges, Mt, Hiuchuli, and Machhapuchhare.

Further, crossing a regular stream, we’ll reach Hotel Himalayan where we can take rest before climbing Hinko. It is a short path beyond, Deurali. Walking along the bank of the river, we’ll reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp for an overnight stay.

Day 5
Day 05: Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) to Dovan

Trek Duration: 6-7 hrs

Max Elevation: 4,130 m, ABC

On this day, we’ll head towards the final trekking destination: Annapurna Base Camp. It’ll take around two hours to reach ABC.

Once we reach the base camp, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the mountains from all sides. ABC offers the closest and amazing view of Annapurna massif including Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna South, Fishtail, Gangapurna, and many other surrounding peaks.

After a wonderful time at Annapurna Base Camp, we’ll return to Dovan for an overnight stay.

Day 6
Day 06: Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong

Trek Duration: 6 hours

Max Elevation: 2,540 m, Chhomrong

After early morning breakfast, the trail leads from Dovan to Sinuwa via Bamboo. It takes approximately three hours from Dovan to reach Bamboo via rhododendron forests.

In Sinuwa, we can take a short tea break and continue downhill trek to Chhomrong Khola. Crossing the bridges over Chhomrong Khola, the trail leads us to Chhomrong village.

We’ll spend a night at a teahouse of Chhomrong village.

Day 7
Day 07: Trek from Chhomrong to Pokhara via Jhinu Danda

Travel Duration: ½ hours

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

Max Elevation: 1,760 m, Jhinu Danda

Enjoying the last day of the trek, we’ll walk via a flat trail. And descend for an hour to reach Kimrong Khola. From there, we start ascending via rhododendron forests and tranquil terrace field.

After spending some time at Jhinu Danda, we come across the wide stone paved trail and reach Birethanti. Continuing our walk, we’ll reach Nayapul from where we’ll catch a private vehicle to get to Pokhara.
